Joshua Ruiz for School Board

My family and I are members of First Assembly of God in Gastonia, NC. We have been faithful members of this church for more than 3 years. We have been involved with the Refuge Youth Ministry since 2007. I currently teach Sunday school on Sunday mornings for middle school students. Class starts at 9:30 am for all students.

Our Sr. Pastor, David L. Scruggs is a wonderful man of God. His genuine love and compassion for his members is just as he preaches, “To love just as Jesus loves us”.  We have been honored to be a part of this church and would love to welcome anyone who does not have a home church to come and visit and join us for service. I must say, just as the old hymn says, 'You won't leave here like you came in Jesus name".

Our Youth Pastor, Dave Scruggs Jr. is also a wonderful man of God. He has been a mentor for me in many situations and his love and compassion for students is beyond measure. Pastor Dave has a love for all students which makes him a great Youth Pastor. We would love for your students to come and visit our Student Union Building. This place is like no other youth facility out there. This one is full of God's love.
