Joshua Garcia Ruiz has been a resident of Dallas, North Carolina for over 8 years. He resides with his wife Dawn (of 9 years) and two children Abigail and Caleb. His daughter Abigail is 7 years old and is a student at Carr Elementary under the direction of Dr. Susan Hutton. His son Caleb is 4 and will hopefully attend school this year.
Joshua is a Graduate of Lincolnton High School Class of 1999 and his wife Dawn is a Graduate of North Gaston High School Class of 1996. Joshua is also a Graduate of Gaston College in Dallas, NC where he successfully completed the Emergency Medical Technician Program.
Joshua has been actively involved in his community. When Joshua worked for the Dallas Police Department, he helped to develop the first Bicycle Recovery Program as well as help to coordinate the Annual Kids Safety Day. Joshua has also served as the Parent Advisory Council Chairman for Carr Elementary for the 2009-2010 School Year. Dr. Susan Hutton, Principal of Carr, has appointed Joshua as Chairman for the 2010-2011 School year. Joshua currently works for Metro Special Police and Public Safety. Joshua holds the rank of Captain of Field Operations. He supervises over 30 employees to include sworn Police Officers. His duties are to ensure all shift supervisors and officers adhere to all state laws and company policies. He enjoys working with the community to build safer neighborhoods where they can raise a family. His commitment to the communities that he and his Officers are sworn to protect is another testament that he is genuinly concerned about the community where he lives and works. If Elected He Will:
