Joshua Ruiz for School Board

     It is with great Pleasure and Honor that I present my wonderful family to my community.

I have been married to my wonderful and supportive wife Dawn Ruiz for nine years. My wife was born and raised in Dallas, NC and Graduated from North Gaston High School in Dallas, NC. My wife is my biggest support system and a wonderful mother. I met my wife over 11 years ago when we worked together in a fast food restaurant. I did not like her and she could not stand me. One night while she was working I got down on one knee, in front of all her employees and customers and asked her to marry me. That was the beginning of a wonderful life for me. I thank God for giving me such a wonderful blessing.

                      My wife and I are proud parents of two wonderful children.

Abigail Ruiz is 7 years old and attends Carr Elementary in Dallas, NC. Abigail is of course "Daddy's Little Girl". She loves to paint beautiful pictures, read difficult books and swim her little heart out. She loves to learn new things and is our pride and joy. Abigail loves school and enjoys the company of her friends. Abigail successfully completed the 1st Grade at Carr Elementary and is excited about becoming a second grader.

Caleb Ruiz is 4 years old and has his mother wrapped around his little finger. I guess you could say that he is a "Momma's Boy". I believe all males growing up were and are still "Momma's Boys". Caleb is also our pride and joy. He enjoys playing games on the computer, watching Sesame Street and also loves swimming. Caleb is very smart and enjoys learning. He is also sought after by the little girls and female teachers in his Sunday school class. Caleb will hopefully attend Pre-K this year.
